Aerotel Singapore - Transit Hotel in Terminal 1

Excellent location, very convenient for short transit stays at Changi. Rooftop pool is a great feature. Easy to access and check in. Early bag drop off with Singapore airlines is very useful to help access, as the hotel is post-immigration but pre-security (so can take larger toiletries). Not the cheapest but can fit 2 adults and 2 children in a double room via an extra bed (which is cheaper to add than a 2nd room). Includes 1x breakfast/meal which is very useful. Easy internal transfer to T2/3 (the hotel is in T1).

Expensive compared to other options but outstanding for convenience. We were from our room to the departure gate within an easy 10 minute walk. Early morning flight and didn’t want to take a chance on transport difficulties. Room was spotless and comfortable, supplied meal was good. Staff were good. Pool looked good but we were too tired to swim. Bathroom had a filtered water tap which was a great idea - wish more hotels would offer this! Only issue was a lamp under the bedside table that didn’t seem to have an off switch, which kept the room too light. Ended up positioning the bin over it to block it out at 3am. Also, if you are a light sleeper def bring earplugs - could hear a baby crying in a neighbouring room and some aeroplane noise. Would definitely stay again for the convenience of not having to mess around with transport to the hotel.

I had the room with the window so that was a bonus thanks, everything I needed was one dial away which I didn’t need because I used the layover time to explore the airport, although I couldn’t go into the jewel area because I was in transit I was able to view it from the tram going from T2 to T3 and even that view was amazing! Loved everything about the hotel from the comfort, cleanliness, staff and convenience straight to my gate as I didn’t have any checked in bags just carry on .. Chef made amazing meals too which I enjoyed my complimentary meal but liked it that much I paid for another 🙂I would definitely stay here again it’s so convenient and perfect! Pool was very nice and they provide the towels too :)

Whilst I’ve stayed in transit hotels like the Ambassador at Changi Airport I’ve never stayed at Aerotel. We had a 8 hour layover and booked a twin room for 6 hours. The room was super clean, comfortable and quiet. Having the pool was fantastic . Being able to swim outside after a long flight from Greece was brilliant. The pool is not big but adequate. Whilst it was busy it wasn’t overcrowded and we were able to get 2 sun loungers. We ordered our meal ( included) at the price and it was absolutely delicious. Also delicious ( but extremely pricey) were the 2 Singapore Slings ( not included) This hotel is not cheap and we pause AUD$300 for 6 hours but I would do it again for long flights with extended layovers. I would also use just the pool( which you can pay for separately) if flights lined up. It’s brilliant to be able to get outside in transit and swim or just lounge around comfortably.

We had a very comfortable stay at Aerotel Singapore – Transit Hotel in Terminal 1. It’s the perfect place within the airport if you need proper rest and want to avoid jet lag during a layover. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything you need for a 6–12 hour stay, and we were lucky to have a view of the runway – such a treat! One nice perk is that each guest gets one meal included, which you can choose from a menu at any time during your stay. Just to note, there isn’t a separate breakfast buffet. The only small challenge was locating the hotel – clearer signage inside the terminal would definitely help. I may blame it on my jet lag, but even after following the directions I still had to wander a bit before finding the entrance 😊. Overall, a fantastic option for families and solo travelers alike if you’re looking for comfort and convenience during transit. Highly recommend!
